Goreme, Turkey

Goreme town, literally embedded in the mountains of volcanic rock, is the gateway to the Goreme National Park - a huge area UNESCO World Heritage site, which houses cave church of X-XI centuries. The park is known for its stone pillars and is very popular with hikers (backpackers). It is also a great place to discover the Turkish cuisine and local wines.
