Kaikoura, New Zealand
Kaikoura in Maori language means "cancer for lunch" - a reference to the historically rich selection of seafood in the New Zealand city. Traces of these ancient days can be seen in Fyffe House, the oldest building of the city, and Kaikoura Museum. Today, the South Island settlement provides an ideal opportunity for tourists to observe the active life of the inhabitants of the sea (sperm whales, dark dolphins, killer whales and sea lions) and freshly caught local seafood lunch. Numerous galleries exhibited crocheted, pottery and jewelry of local craftsmen.
